Anladığınız gibi, bu bir kızın söylediği bir türkü. Evlenip ailesinden uzaklara giden ve ailesini özleyen bir kızın söylediği bir türkü. Şimdi size bu türkünün (gerçek) hikayesini anlatacağım.
As you can see, this is a folk song sung by a girl. It is a song sung by a girl who got married and went away from her family and misses her family. Now I will tell you the (real) story of this folk song.
Bu hikaye Tekirdağ şehrinde geçiyor. Zeynep adında bir kız varmış. Bu kız çok güzelmiş. 16 yaşına geldiğinde köylerinde bir düğün yapılmış. Zeynep bu düğüne gitmiş. Bu düğünde onu Ali isimli bir erkek görmüş ve çok beğenmiş. Ali kendi köyüne geri dönmüş ve Zeynep’i istemek için birilerini göndermiş. Zeynep’in ailesi de Zeynep’i Ali’ye vermiş ve evlenmişler, düğünleri yapılmiş.
This story takes place in Tekirdağ city. There was a girl named Zeynep. This girl was a very beautiful girl. When she was 16, a wedding took place in their village. Zeynep went to this wedding. A man named Ali saw her at this wedding and liked her a lot. Ali went back to his village and sent someone to ask for Zeynep’s hand. Zeynep’s family gave Zeynep to Ali and they got married, they made a wedding.
Zeynep evlendiği için Ali’nin köyüne gitmiş ve orada yaşamaya başlamışlar. Bu köy Zeynep’in köyüne çok uzakmış. Zeynep’in köyüyle Ali’nin köyünün arasında üç gün üç gece yol varmış. Yani çok uzakmış.
As Zeynep got married, she went to Ali’s village and they started to live there. This village was far from Zeynep’s village. There was a three-day and three-night road between Zeynep’s village and Ali’s village. So it was too far.
Zeynep, annesini, babasını ve kardeşini 7 yıl boyunca görememiş. Zeynep bu durumdan dolayı çok üzgünmüş.. Ailesini çok özlemiş… köyünü… kardeşini… arkadaşlarını çok özlemiş.
Zeynep could not see her mother, father and sibling for 7 years. Zeynep was very sad about this situation. She missed her family very much… her village… her sibling … her friends.
Zeynep köyün tepesindeki bir evin bahçesine çıkarak kendi yazdığı bu türküyü söylemeye başlamış. Uzaklara dalmış. Ve özlemini gidermeye çalışmış bu türküyle.
Zeynep went to the garden of a house on the hill of the village and started to sing this song she wrote. Her mind went far away. And she tried to fulfill her longing with this song.
Kocası Zeynep’in bu özlemini çok umursamamış. Önem vermemiş. Zeynep’e de zaten artık eskisi kadar iyi davranmıyormuş. Zeynep’i hor görmeye başlamış.
Her husband did not care much about this longing of Zeynep. He didn’t care. He was not treating Zeynep well anymore. He started to despise Zeynep.
Bütün bunlara dayanamayan Zeynep en sonunda yataklara düşmüş. Yataklara düşmüş yani hastalanmış. Zeynep hastalanınca annesini ve babasını görmek istediğini söylemiş..
Unable to bear all this, Zeynep finally fell into bed. She fell into bed, I mean she got sick. Once Zeynep got sick, she said she wanted to see her mother and father.
Kayınvalidesi ve kayınbabası yani Ali’nin annesi ve babası da son çareyi Zeynep’in ailesine haber vermekte bulmuşlar. Zeynep’in ailesine haber göndermişler. Zeynep’in anne ve babası da uzun yolları aşarak gelmiş ve Zeynep’i yatakta bulmuşlar.
Her mother-in-law and father-in-law, I mean Ali’s mother and father, found the last resort to inform Zeynep’s family of the situation. They sent word to Zeynep’s family. Zeynep’s parents came after long distances and found Zeynep in bed.
Perişan bir halde yani çok kötü bir halde olan Zeynep, ailesine de bu türküyü söylemeye başlamış. Çevrelerindeki bütün kadınlar da bu türküyü duymuşlar ve ağlamaya başlamışlar.
In a miserable state, which means in a very bad state, Zeynep started to sing this song to her family. All the women around them heard this song and started to cry.
Zeynep hasretini gidermiş yani ailesine kavuşmuş ama artık çok geçmiş. Bir daha iyileşememiş ve ölmüş. Herkes Zeynep için gözyaşı dökmüş, yani herkes Zeynep için ağlamış.
Zeynep has fulfilled her longing, which means she has united with her family, but it was too late now. She never recovered and she died. Everyone shed tears for Zeynep, everyone cried for Zeynep.
Uçan da kuşlara malum olsun ben annemi özledim
Hem annemi hem babamı, ben köyümü özledim.
Babamın bir atı olsa, binse de gelse. Annemin yelkeni olsa, uçsa da gelse. Kardeşlerim yolları bilse de gelse.
